The Precise Measurement Technology Promotion Foundation
Director Shintaro Yano
The Precise Measurement Technology Promotion Foundation was approved its inauguration by the Tokyo Governor, Shunichi Suzuki on April 1st, 1985 based on the Civil Law 34 (the certified number 59-848) .
The objective of the Foundation is contributing to the development of the precise measurement technique in Tokyo by researching and auxiliary training precise measurement.
Japan has been highly appraised as a technology nation worldwide. While the industrial structure has shifted toward the third sector, expectations for a high value processing and assembly industry such as electronic and precision machines entailing from technological innovation are quite high. In the middle of technological innovation, responding to a strong demand for high precision, precise measurement technique is indispensable for the production and the assembly of high precise components.
As it has been said that “no production without measurement,” a technique for precise measurement machinery is significant. When many types of equipment are now produced by a labor-saving, automatic, and unmanned way, we need precise measurement for all components, unit scales, and form functions in order to guarantee qualities that can meet a demand for high trust.
We firmly believe that this Foundation contributes to the development of precise measurement machinery and engineering by subsidizing basic researches in the field of precise measurement technique.
The aims of this Foundation are thus to subsidize excellent researches, to contribute to the development of science, and to fund projects that promote international cooperation.
［1］Subsidization and cooperation for researches and trainings for precise measurement technique development.
［2］Holding lectures or conferences for precise measurement technique.
［3］Business for researches on precise measurement engineering and for promoting international cooperation.
［4］Business to train and award people engaging with precise measurement technique.
［5］Business necessary for implementing all the business mentioned above.
